The first meeting of the Eastern Virginia Vascular Technologist Society commenced in September 1985. E.V.V.T began its chapter affiliation with the National Society of Vascular Ultrasound in June 1990.
The goals and purpose for E.V.V.T remains the same today as was presented at our first session in 1985. TO PROMOTE THE NEEDS OF THE VASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST, IN EDUCATION, QUALITY, AND PERFORMANCE.
To achieve this end result, rotating correlation conferences are held at Vascular Laboratories throughout the Tidewater area.. Additionally, educational lectures are provided at each session,for which Vascular Ultrasound credits are awarded to each member . Thus providing a source for continuing education that is necessary to maintain an active membership as a Registered Vascular Technologist
